Clean Water Wave accepted on to the inaugural NatWest Climate Entrepreneur Accelerator Programme

We’re very happy to announce that Clean Water Wave has been accepted on to the inaugural NatWest Climate Entrepreneur Accelerator Programme.  The entrepreneur accelerator programme was looking for businesses that are striving to help the environment and is part of NatWest’s explicit commitment to the environment and to the transition to a low carbon economy.

Designed to help climate focused businesses to grow and scale, the digitally-based three-month programme will include specialist one-to-one mentoring, group workshops, access to specialist networks and supply chains including those in the climate sector, as well as support from NatWest’s national programme partners. These include Dell Technologies, Pinsent Masons, Equifax, Deloitte Propel, FreeAgent and Hiscox.

The bank’s CEO, Alison Rose, sees the role of the bank as pivotal to a successful transition as they are so connected to every aspect of our lives, from the personal to big business. Their Climate Accelerator is a key part in this new vision for NatWest.

“Our NatWest Climate Accelerator programme has been tailored to empower Climate focused businesses looking to grow and scale. In addition to all of the benefits of our core Accelerator programme, our Climate Accelerator specifically addresses the needs of Climate focussed businesses.”

The Climate Accelerator is designed to help businesses that are committed to the environment and are making a big difference to the health of our planet. The programme will enable Stephanie, our MD, and our team to access mentoring, workshops, and networks to help develop and scale up the business.

Stephanie was introduced to the NatWest Climate Accelerator by the wonderful team at First Port – big shout out to Ray for his unwavering support!

Stephanie has so far attended the first week of introductions and training and has met – by video conferencing of course – over 100 other climate-focussed entrepreneurs across the UK that are part of the cohort. She said:

“It’s such a fabulous opportunity for us to network, learn from each other, and develop our businesses to the best of our ability and, ultimately, to benefit our environment in the best possible way. I will keep you all posted on who we meet and what we learn throughout the programme!”
